Kuala Lumpur: Shanghai SIPG's Hulk has been named the Toyota Player of the Week for Matchday Five of the 2019 AFC Champions League.
Shanghai SIPG's star forward Hulk scored a brace in his side's 2-2 draw away at Kawasaki Frontale in their penultimate Group H tie on Tuesday to earn this week's top accolade.
The Brazilian's double kept the Chinese club in the driving seat for a place in the Round of 16 with a home tie against already-eliminated Sydney FC to come on May 21.
Hulk's first of the night was a wonderful surging run from the halfway line that was nominated for Goal of the Week, before his second came from towering header in the first half. His all-round performance saw him register 71 touches, win five fouls and make 25 passes as he was awarded a 8.7 rating to lead the Toyota Player of the Week standings.
Countryman Giuliano (below) likewise shone on Matchday Five with the Al Nassr attacker scoring and getting an assist for the Saudi side in their 3-1 win over Al Wasl on Tuesday.

Kawasaki: Two goals from Shanghai SIPG's Brazilian star Hulk kept the Chinese Super League side in the driving seat for a place in the 2019 AFC Champions League Round of 16, after a 2-2 draw away at Japan's Kawasaki Frontale on Tuesday.
Having gone three games without a goal in the 2019 AFC Champions League, powerful forward Hulk roared back into form at the perfect moment for Shanghai SIPG with a fine brace to keep their destiny in their hands going into the final Group H tie on May 21.
Defeat to hosts Kawasaki would have seen the Chinese club needing to rely not only on three points from the Matchday Six tie away at group winners Ulsan Hyundai, but also results to go their way in the match between Sydney FC and Kawasaki in Australia.
