Seoul: The coaches of Ulsan Hyundai FC and Daegu FC on Monday vowed all-out effort to finish the season on a high by clinching the Korea Football Association FA Cup title.
The two K League 1 clubs will go head-to-head in the two-legged final of the 2018 KFA FA Cup this week. The first leg will be played at Munsu Football Stadium in Ulsan on Wednesday, followed by the return leg at Daegu Stadium on Sunday.
Ulsan head coach Kim Do-hoon said his side are ready to defend the domestic cup crown. Ulsan claimed their first ever FA Cup title last year after edging out Busan IPark FC 2-1 on aggregate.
"We're happy to be in the final of this prestigious tournament," Kim said. "We will not miss this opportunity and will give our best to defend the title."

Jinan: Beijing Guoan secured qualification into the 2019 AFC Champions League group stage after defeating Shandong Luneng on away goals to lift the Chinese FA Cup title on Saturday.
The win gave Guoan an automatic berth in next year's AFC Champions League.
Guoan will face Korean side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, Buriram United of Thailand and the champions of Japan's Emperor's Cup in Group G, while Shandong Luneng will start their 2019 AFC Champions League campaign in the preliminary stage.

Seoul: K League champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors announced the signing of Jose Morais of Portugal as their new head coach on Thursday.
Morais will replace outgoing boss Choi Kang-hee, who will leave for Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian after this season. Jeonbuk clinched their second-straight league title in early October, with six matches to spare.
Choi guided Jeonbuk to six league championships and two AFC Champions League titles during his tenure. Choi has been with Jeonbuk since 2005, with a brief hiatus from 2011 to 2013 to coach the Korea Republic national team.

Tashkent: PFC Lokomotiv Tashkent secured qualification into the 2019 AFC Champions League group stage after clinching the Uzbekistan Super League on Tuesday.
Andrei Fyodorov’s men, who also won the league in 2016 and 2017, survived a late fightback to defeat FC Pakhtakor Tashkent 3-2 to finish top of the table with 43 points with a game to spare.
Eleven-time winners Pakhtakor claimed second with 34 points, which earned them entry into the 2019 AFC Champions League preliminary Round 2.

Beijing: There is still all to play for in the Chinese FA Cup final after a Cedric Bakambu penalty in the second half secured Beijing Guoan a 1-1 draw with Shandong Luneng in Sunday's first leg at the Workers Stadium.
Diego Tardelli had given Shandong the lead, also from the penalty spot, in the 31st minute.
Bakambu, who had conceded the penalty, made amends six minutes into the second half when he converted from the spot.
Besides the Chinese FA Cup, both teams are fighting for an automatic berth into the 2019 AFC Champions League.

Abu Dhabi: Al Wahda FSCC have parted company with head coach Laurențiu Reghecampf, the club has announced.
The 43-year-old Romanian vacated his position on Sunday following Al Wahda’s 2-1 derby defeat to Al Jazira in the UAE Pro League less than 48 hours earlier – a loss which left the 2019 AFC Champions League hopefuls sixth in the table.
Reghecampf, who guided Al Wahda to a second-place finish in last season’s UAE Pro League, had previously taken Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal SFC to the final of the 2014 AFC Champions League before seeing his side lose to Western Sydney Wanderers.
