Kuala Lumpur: Australian Ben Williams has been appointed referee for the 2012 AFC Champions League final between Ulsan Hyundai and Al Ahli on Saturday.
The 35-year-old will be assisted at the Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium by compatriots Luke Brennan and Paul Cetrangolo.
Williams has been an international referee since 2005 and has been officiating matches in the AFC Champions League and the AFC Cup since 2007. On the international stage, the physical and outdoor education teacher has refereed matches at the 2007 AFC Asian Cup and in the Asian qualifiers for the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups.
Saturday's final between Korea Republic's Ulsan Hyundai and Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia marks the conclusion of the tenth edition of Asia's premier club competition, and the fourth time the final has been played in a single venue having previously been contested over two legs.
