Kuwait City: Qadsia SC coach Rashed Al Bedaih is looking for a repeat performance of his side’s comfortable first-leg win as the defending AFC Cup champions take on Syria’s Al Jaish on Tuesday.
The Kuwaiti club secured a 3-0 win in the opening encounter between the teams last month (pictured) but go into Tuesday’s meeting without striker Talal Al Amer, who is suspended after picking up a second yellow card of the competition in the first leg.
However, midfielder Sultan Al Enezi will return to action after missing the previous game through injury and Qadsia will be favourites to advance to the last four once again.

“The big win that we had in the first leg will definitely not deceive us because we want to confirm our victory and qualify to the semi-finals,” said Al Bedaih. “The match will not be easy despite us having a big result in the first leg.
“We must put on a good performance and have a positive result tomorrow. I hope that the players will concentrate in order to continue the good performances that we had in the recent matches.”
Qadsia go into the game in fine form having defeated Al Fahaheel in the Kuwait Federation Cup 4-1 on Friday.
Al Jaish, meanwhile, arrived in Kuwait last Wednesday to prepare for the meeting and coach Anas Makhlouf knows his team face a major challenge to stay alive in the 2015 edition of the competition.
“The match tomorrow will be very difficult because it will be hard to win with a four-goal margin against a team like Qadsia SC,” he said. “We will try our best to have a good performance and get a good result that reflects our position as the Syrian league champions.
“We should forget the performance and result of the first leg because the match tomorrow is decisive. We know that the task that we have is very hard but we will be giving all our best to achieve our target.”
