Kuwait City: Ismail Al Ajmi's blistering start to his Kazma career continued on Saturday as the Oman international took his individual tally to five in four games as the AFC Cup Group B side defeated Al Shabab 3-2.
Kazma took command of the 2011/12 Kuwait Premier League Round 3 clash with Yousef Nasser scoring with a 41st minute penalty before Al Ajmi, who netted the winning goal as his former employers Kuwait Sports Club claimed the 2009 AFC Cup, added a second on the stroke of half-time.
Brazilian midfielder Rodrigo Da Costa reduced the deficit four minutes after the restart before Al Shabab drew level on the hour-mark through Saud Swayed only for Al Ajmi to seal the win for Kazma ten minutes later, as the on-form Omani followed up his winner in the 2-1 Emir's Cup defeat of Al Arabi and brace in the 3-2 loss to Al Nasr with his fifth of the season.
Kazma begin their 2012 AFC Cup campaign when they travel to Iraq to face Arbil, who took part in the 2008 AFC Champions League before reaching the quarter-finals of the AFC Cup the following year.
