Arad: A brace from Bassel Moustafa and a late Mohammed Al Wakid strike earned 10-man Al Jaish an emphatic 3-0 victory over Jordan’s Al Jazeera in the first leg of the 2019 AFC Cup West Zonal Semi-finals on Tuesday.
Al Jazeera were hopeful of taking home a result that could help them reach the West Zonal final for the second time running, but they faced the challenge of an Al Jaish side that had not lost in their last eight AFC Cup games.
The Jordanians started brightly and were in complete control for the first 25 minutes, threatening first through Abdullah Al Attar’s header which narrowly missed the target, then through Omar Al Manasrah’s long range strike.

Amman: Mohammed Kdouh’s fifth goal of the competition was the difference as Al Ahed stunned Al Wehdat 1-0 in the first leg of the 2019 AFC Cup West Zonal Semi-final on Monday.

Amman: A brace from Bahaa Faisal sent Al Wehdat into the 2019 AFC Cup West Asia Zone Semi-finals with a 2-0 win over Hilal Alquds at King Abdullah II Stadium 0n Matchday Six of Group A on Tuesday.
Al Wehdat will play Lebanon Al Ahed FC , the Group C winners, in the two-leg semi-finals scheduled for June 17 and 24.
With a two-point advantage over their opponents, Al Wehdat came into the final Group A game needing just a draw to secure a place in the next stage. Only a win could do for Hilal Alquds, while Syria’s Al Jaish hoped for a draw as they faced Nejmeh in the other group game.
The game got on to a pacey start, with Al Wehdat dominating the early proceedings, but with clear-cut chances few and far between.

Thu Dau Mot City: Experienced Becamex Binh Duong midfielder Le Tan Tai has pinpointed PSM Makassar’s Wiljan Pluim as the player the Vietnamese side must beware of as the teams prepare to meet in the 2019 AFC Cup ASEAN Zonal semi-final first leg on Wednesday.
Binh Duong advanced to the regional semi-finals after winning their final four Group G games to finish as the best-placed runners-up in ASEAN, while Makassar remained unbeaten to win Group H in what is their debut campaign.
Much of the Indonesian side’s success has been built around their Dutch captain Wiljan Pluim, as well as Finnish striker Eero Markannen and naturalised Netherlands-born midfielder Marc Klok, and Tan Tai is well aware of the threat they pose going forward.
