Kota Bharu: AFC Cup 2012 quarter-finalists Kelantan came from a goal down to defeat Kedah 2-1 in their second Group B match of the Malaysia Cup on Sunday.
Kelantan went into the match looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Terengganu, who they eliminated in the Round of 16 of the AFC Cup, but the game against Kedah started on an ominous note for Bojan Hodak's side after Khyril Muhymeen Zambri had put the Canaries one up with just four minutes played.
But Afiq Azmi levelled the tie in the 29th minute before the striker, who is on-loan from Malaysia Premier League side Kuala Lumpur FA for the duration of the Malaysia Cup scored what transpired to be the winner on the stroke of half-time.
Kelantan take on Iraq outfit Arbil in the quarter-finals of the 2012 AFC Cup with last year's semi-finalists hosting the first-leg on September 18 before the action shifts to Malaysia for the return fixture a week later.
