Jakarta: Captain Sunny Rizky Suhendra is confident of Vamos FC's chances of reaching the AFC Futsal Club Championship Indonesia 2018 Knockout Stage, despite being grouped with three-time champions Nagoya Oceans of Japan in Group A.
Vamos FC earned their spot after securing back-to-back titles in the Indonesia Pro Futsal League, and will play as hosts in the ninth edition of the Championship.
Skipper Suhendra was pleased with the result and revealed that the Japanese club were their main competitors.
“The draw result was satisfactory, and our team’s motivation is good, but we will not take our opponents lightly because they’re all Asia’s best.
“Nagoya Oceans are our main group rivals because they have been champions of the tournament three times (in 2011, 2014 and 2016).”

Jakarta: FC Erem head coach Daniiar Abdyraiov is hoping to outdo their previous performance in the AFC Futsal Club Championship but has realistic expectations after being drawn with title holders Bluewave Chonburi from Thailand on Friday.
Kyrgyz Republic club FC Erem will also play tournament debutants Al Sailiya from Qatar and returning Australian F-League champions Vic Vipers in Group C.
“I was hoping for a better result because we have been drawn with the defending champions,” revealed Abdyraiov.
“This is the second time we are participating in this competition, and last year we couldn’t make it out of the group stage. It was a learning process for us, but this time we will try to do better.
“We are playing the defending champions, new champions of Qatar as well as Australia's Vic Vipers, who have experience in playing in the tournament.”
“We have two months to prepare for the competition, following our initial plan to start at the end of May, and begin analysing our opponents through videos and style of play.
“We will continue with our same regime, and we’ve got two months to get in the best shape.”

Jakarta: Friday's AFC Futsal Club Championship 2018 Finals official draw on Friday saw Indonesia host team Vamos FC drawn with Dalian Yuan Dynasty of China PR, bringing a smile to livewire Bambang Bayu Saptaji.
The Vamos FC forward once played for the Chinese champions, assisting them to the Chinese Futsal League title in 2015, but returned to Indonesia to play for the Mataram-based club shortly after.
"Its a good draw result and I have a chance to meet Dalian as an opponent,” the 26-year-old told the-AFC.com.
“Dalian are a good team and I am expecting a good match.”
The player, however, doesn't believe his knowledge of Dalian will give Vamos an advantage.
“I only know a little bit about them now, because I haven’t played with them for awhile now (since 2015). I’m sure they have new players but I have a bit information on them.”
The tournament will be hosted in the city of Yogyakarta, and Bayu Saptaji wants the home fans to rally Vamos on come kick-off on August 1.
“We hope our supporters pray and give us positive support, and I promise that Vamos FC will do our best in the competition.”
Dalian team representative Zheng Xu said: “This will be our second appearance in the AFC Futsal Club Championship and we have never met the other teams competitively before.
“But we know that Japan’s Nagoya Oceans are strong and Indonesia as well. There are no weak teams in this group.

Jakarta: Indonesia’s Vamos FC will be counting on home support when they take on three-time champions Nagoya Oceans, Dalian Yuan Dynasty from China PR and newcomers Victoria University College FC of Myanmar in Group A in the ninth edition of the AFC Futsal Club Championship.
Asia’s top 16 futsal clubs identified their group rivals at Friday’s official AFC Futsal Club Championship Indonesia 2018 Final Draw in Jakarta.
Group B will also be keenly contested as Vietnamese champions Thai Son Nam FC, Al Dhafra from the United Arab Emirates, Iraq’s Nafit Al Wasat and Jeonju MAG FC from Korea Republic, who will be making their first appearance in the tournament, were drawn together.
Title holders and two-time champions, Chonburi Bluewave of Thailand, will be out to make tournament history by being the team to win the tournament twice in a row, but will have to go through Al Sailiya from Qatar, Kyrgyz Republic’s FC Erem and Vic Vipers of Australia in Group C.
