Phnom Penh: Laos beat Malaysia 2-1 in Group B of the AFF Under-23 Championship 2022 on Friday to give themselves a great chance of advancing to the semi-finals.

Laos only have to avoid defeat when they meet Malaysia again on Monday, with the group reduced to just two teams following the COVID-19 forced withdrawal of Indonesia and Myanmar.
