It was Uzbekistan's second lift of the trophy, having also emerged champions in 2012.

Kuala Lumpur: Zahaby Gholy's blazing strike against Yemen has been voted as the best goal of the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025.

Zahaby showed off his flair with a deft first touch before releasing a thunderous shot from distance to open the scoring in spectacular fashion.

The forward, who plays for Persija Jakarta, obtained almost 70 percent of the votes.

The 32-year-old could not hold back his emotions after seeing an inspired second half performance with goals from Muhammad Khakimov and Sadriddin Khasanov overcoming the loss of Nurbek Sarsenbaev and Miraziz Abdukarimov to red cards in the first half.

Taif: Head coach Mario da Silva admitted his disappointment after Saudi Arabia were defeated 2-0 by Uzbekistan in the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ 2025 final on Sunday.

Da Silva said while the first half was evenly contested between two well-matched sides, Saudi Arabia should have capitalised on their numerical advantage when Uzbekistan were reduced to nine players.

Taif: Sadriddin Khasanov paid tribute to the Uzbekistan coaching staff and his teammates after they lifted the AFC U17 Asian Cup™ Saudi Arabia 2025 trophy following a 2-0 win against Saudi Arabia in the final on Sunday.
