Refereeing development continues strong momentum in Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s commitment to enhance the talent pool of the Continent’s match officials was further strengthened on Thursday with the conclusion of three landmark development initiatives which were held concurrently.
The three courses – the AFC Referees Recruitment 2023 for both Men’s Football and Futsal held from January 16 to 18, as well as the AFC Women Referees & Assistant Referees Selection 2023 conducted from January 16 to 19 – were designed to ensure the Confederation remained at the forefront of developing world-class match officials.
AFC Elite Referee Instructor Certification and Seminar aim to elevate standards
Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s commitment to establish the best possible conditions for AFC match officials to thrive was further underlined on Thursday through the commencement of several class leading initiatives all aimed at ensuring the highest refereeing standards.
Held from November 3 to 5, 2022, three marquee events have been organised simultaneously namely the AFC Elite Referee Instructor Certification 2022, the AFC Elite Referee Instructor Seminar 2022 as well as the AFC Elite Referee Instructor Certification (Futsal) 2022.
AFC Referee Assessor Seminar returns to Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Referee Assessor Seminar 2022 successfully concluded on Tuesday in Kuala Lumpur and saw 84 participants from 26 Member Associations (MAs) gather to discuss updates and examine their knowledge of the referee assessment curriculum.
Held over two days, from November 1 to 2, this was the first seminar to be organised physically since 2019, signalling the AFC’s gradual and steady recovery from the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
