Ronaldo scores four for Al Nassr to pass 500 league goals

Riyadh: Cristiano Ronaldo scored all of Al Nassr's goals in a 4-0 defeat of Al Wehda in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday as he passed the 500 league goal mark in his club career.

The 38-year-old Portuguese star now has 503 goals scored for five different teams stretched across five leagues.
 
He hit three for Sporting Lisbon in his fledgling career, 103 for Manchester United over two spells, 311 for Real Madrid and 81 at Juventus.

Iikura returns to F Marinos

Yokohama: J1 League champions Yokohama F Marinos have re-signed experienced goalkeeper Hiroki Iikura from Vissel Kobe as coach Kevin Muscat looks to enhance his options ahead of the new domestic campaign.

The 36-year-old, who played twice in the 2020 AFC Champions League as Kobe reached the semi-finals, joins Marinos after last season’s first-choice goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka left the club last week to join Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps.
 
Iikura started his career with F Marinos before joining Kobe in 2019, helping the club to the Emperor’s Cup title at the end of his first season and to a penalty shoot-out victory over Yokohama in the Japan Super Cup at the start of 2020.

Abu Dhabi: Iraq national team forward Ayman Hussein has joined UAE Pro League side Al Jazira Club.

Hussein, who turns 27 in March, was previously with Qatar Stars League side Al Markhiya, whom he joined last July.
