The AFC Disciplinary Committee convened on Thursday February 26 to deliberate on a red card received by Al Sadd (Qatar) player Mr Kasola Mohammed during his club’s AFC Champions League play-off match against Al Wahda (UAE) on 17 February 2015.
Pursuant to article 18.4 of the AFC Disciplinary Code, the player will be suspended for two (2) matches in the competition. According to the disciplinary regulations, the sending off results in an automatic suspension, which meant Mr Kasola Mohammed was not eligible to play in the ACL fixture between Foolad Khouzestan (IRN) vs. Al Sadd (QAT) on February 25. The second match for which he will be suspended will be played on March 4 between Al Sadd (QAT) and Al Hilal (KSA).
