Ho Chi Minh: Chinese Taipei came from behind to beat Hong Kong 4-2 in the AFC Futsal Championship 2014 East Zone qualifiers.
Sheng Fa Chi scored two goals for Chinese Taipei who had managed to qualify in the 2012 finals but failed to win a single match.
Also to score at the Phu Tho Stadium for the winning side were Chin-An Lo and Tseng Ching Yao. Earlier, Sheung Kwai So opened Honk Kong’s account in the 6th minute and Lo brought the match at equal terms in the 17th minute.
Chi’s first came in the 21st minute but Hong Kong bounced back to make it 2-2 through Ka Wa Chow. Two goals in quick succession in final seven minutes sealed the win for Chinese Taipei who will take on Korea Republic next.
The top three countries amongst the five teams from East Zone will qualify for the tournament proper alongside with champions Japan.
