Runaway winners Al Wehdat needed only a draw to seal the title but Rateb’s 65th minute volley from outside the box made sure the club fondly known as The Green Giant triumphed on 50 points with a game to spare.

The winner will be revealed on January 24, with 60 percent of the votes supplied by the direct participation of fans on the-AFC.com and 40 percent by a panel of Asian football experts.

Yokohama F. Marinos' Theerathon topped the second semi-final with 45.75 percent of the votes with Al Nassr's Ol Obaid finishing second with 18.67 percent. Persepolis FC's Abdi Qara finished third with 17.98 percent.

Abdi Qara will have two goals in contention in the final after topping Semi-final One with Esteghlal FC's Cheick Diabate and Al Nassr's Abderrazak Hamdallah, the 2020 AFC Champions League top scorer with seven goals, also in the running.
