Paju: The participants of an AFC Professional Coaching Diploma Course held at the Paju National Football Center in Korea Republic have hailed the opportunity to upgrade their knowledge and skills as football coaches.
The Pro Diploma course was held on November 21-30 for coaches who held the ‘A’ Coaching Certificate as a minimum requirement and was designed to teach the highest standards for club and national team coaching.
One of the participants, Betty Wong Yeuk Ling from Hong Kong, has commented on the course:
“It was very cold weather in Korea but the training sessions were warmly received by the whole class. It was a short and intensive course but we had fully benefitted from the lessons.”
Another participant, Chan Siuk Chi, has shared Wong’s opinion, saying:
“The course’ contents were given in great detail which made a big difference to us. We also strived to ace the course and the adage ‘attitude is altitude’ really helped us a lot in overcoming the exciting challenges in the programme.”
Course instructor Richard Bates from England is full of praises of the course participants, and he has said:
“As usual, Korean students are the most attentive and industrious coaches at a Pro Diploma course that I have come across.
“They are willing to offer their views and opinions which contribute richly to the course. They are a pleasure to work with and to work for.”
The coveted Pro Diploma is the highest coaching qualification awarded by the AFC.
