Kuwait: Kuwait warmed up for the AFC Asian Cup 2015 qualifiers match against Lebanon in style by thrashing Malaysia 3-0 in the Peace and Friendship Stadium.
Fahad Al Rashidi, Saif Al Hashan and Ahmed Azab Alazemi were on the scoresheet for the Kuwaitis who will try to collect all three points against Lebanon with whom they shared points a month ago in Beirut after being hold 1-1.
Kuwait are at the second spot in the strong Group B also featuring leaders Iran and bottom-placed Thailand.
Malaysia are still in contention of the qualifications after managing four points from their last two matches. They started the campaign with a 2-0 defeat by Qatar but bounced back to beat Yemen and then hold Bahrain at home.
They will take on Group D leaders Bahrain needing to avoid defeat as anything less than a draw will make it very difficult for the Malaysians with Qatar taking on rock-bottom Yemen in another match of the group on Friday.
