Group B: Indonesia, Vietnam saunter into semi-finals
Ho Chi Minh: Indonesia defeated Australia to seal top spot in Group B of the AFF Futsal Championship Vietnam 2019 while Vietnam finished second on goal difference after beating Malaysia at the Phu Tho Stadium on Wednesday.
Both finished on seven points but Indonesia's superior goal difference means they will play Myanmar in Friday's semi-finals while hosts Vietnam will have to battle defending champions Thailand.
The top three teams from the AFF Futsal Championship Vietnam 2019 will advance to the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 next February.
Group B: Indonesia, Vietnam draw, Australia stop Malaysia
Ho Chi Minh: Indonesia and Vietnam played to a draw while Australia dashed Malaysia's hopes of a top two finish in Group B of the AFF Futsal Championship Vietnam 2019 at the Phu Tho Stadium on Tuesday.
The 0-0 draw took Vietnam and Indonesia to four points Australia have three after defeating Malaysia 6-4.
The regional tournament also serves as the ASEAN Zone qualifiers for the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020, with the top three teams advancing to the Finals next February.
Qualifiers - West Zone Play-off: Oman seal Finals ticket
Manama: Oman sealed their place in the AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 Finals after defeating United Arab Emirates 5-1 in the West Zone play-off at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium on Tuesday.
Oman join Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia as the representatives from West Asia for Turkmenistan 2020.
Both teams went into the playoff after having finished third in their respective groups and neither was willing to take risks in the first half.
Qualifiers - Group A: China PR, Chinese Taipei open with wins
Ordos: China PR and Chinese Taipei enjoyed winning starts to their AFC Futsal Championship Turkmenistan 2020 Group A qualifying campaigns, defeating Mongolia and Hong Kong respectively at the Ordos Sports Centre in China on Tuesday.
China struggled to find a way past Mongolia in the first half but turned on the power in the second half to register a 3-0 win while Chinese Taipei dominated from start to finish as they defeated Hong Kong 4-1.
The Groups A and B winners will gain direct qualification to the 2020 Finals, with the second placed teams meeting in a play-off to determine the third team through from the East Zone.
