Hong Kong: Striker Sun Ming Him scored a triple as he helped hosts Hong Kong clinch their first win after beating neighbours Macau 5-2 in their AFC U-14 Championship 2014 Group H qualifying match at Mongkok Stadium on Sunday.
Hong Kong midfielder Chang Hiu Nam drew first blood on 16 minutes before Sun commenced his triple thriller two minutes later. Midfielder Tsang Pak Hin also got on the scoresheet for Pau Marti Vicente’s side after 33 minutes. The game went into the break 3-0 favouring Hong Kong.
Macau would not let the fight go totally lopsided as Alexandre Emanuel Guterres Noronha and Leung Chi Seng scored in the second half on the 35th and 45th minutes.
Hong Kong are now sitting on fourth spot on three points from two games while winless Macau occupy the bottom position.
The hosts face Japan next on Tuesday while Macau will be up against leaders DPR Korea the next day.
