Doha: Leen Yasin Mohammad Al Btoush scored a triple as Jordan whipped Bahrain 5-0 in their opening match in the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship for West Asia at the Al Arabi Stadium on Monday.
The striker made the goals on 21, 39 and 66 minutes with fellow strikers Leen Ayman Mohammad Alabbadi and Tasneem also getting on the scoresheet after 25 and 73 minutes respectively for Manar Mustafa Ahmad Fraij’s side.
Bahrain failed to score despite head coach Khaled Hassan Taleb Mohamed Rashed making five substitutions in the 79-minute game, while the Jordan team made three.
Up next, Jordan will meet the UAE on Tuesday while Wednesday will see Bahrain facing Palestine in the five-team inaugural regional girls’ championship.
