Bangkok: Defending champions Magnus Futsal will meet Carlos Barbosa in an all-Brazilian World Intercontinental Futsal Cup Thailand 2018 final after they eliminated home team PTT Bluewave Chonburi with a thrilling 4-3 semi-final win on Saturday.
Carlos Barbosa booked their place in Sunday's final after securing a hard-fought 3-1 win over Andreu Plaza’s Barca Lassa.
In an end-to-end game, Magnus got the lead in the fifth minute when Leandro Lino scored. Seconds later, Ronnachai Jungwongsuk equalised for the home side and shortly after, Marcel gave the Brazilian team the lead again.
Captain Kritsada Wongkaeo equalised for Chonburi before Jirawat Sornwichian scored to ensure Chonburi went into half-time with a 3-2 lead.
There was little to separate the teams once the second half started. Falcao then scored the equaliser for Magnus in the 36th minute. The goal gave Magnus the advantage they were seeking and three minutes after, Marcel scored the winner.
