Nay Pyi Taw: Malaysia gained the crucial opening three points as they beat hosts Myanmar in their AFC U-14 Championship 2014 Group E qualifying match at the Wunna Theik Stadium on Tuesday.
Both sides made their efforts for goals fruitlessly in the first half until the Malaysians found the bounty eight minutes into the second period and then the second and winning goal 10 minutes later.
Muhammad Iqbal Hakem Bin Mohd Hata was on target on 38 minutes before substitute Muhammad Hadi Fayyadh Bin Abdul Razak and man of the match nailed the Malaysians’ last goal after 48 minutes.
The next match-ups will see the hosts facing the Philippines on Wednesday with the Malaysians up against also the Filipinos two days later.
