Yangon: Nineteen Myanmar coaches are currently improving themselves to become better tacticians by taking an AFC ‘B’ Coaching Certificate Course held at the Myanmar Football Federation headquarters.
General Secretary of the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) Tin Aung officially opened the course in a ceremony which was also attended by MFF Executive Committee Members and representatives from various clubs.
The course started on 11 February and covers both the theoretical and practical aspects of football coaching. Some of the participants are former international players.
The course, which will conclude on 3 March, is instructed by Nader Arabi of Iran who is assisted by Win Thu Moe from Myanmar.
The ‘B’ certificate course is open to those with a ‘C’ certificate and a minimum coaching experience of two years and 60 coaching hours.
Holders of the ‘B’ certificate can, after meeting certain criteria, proceed to take the ‘A’ certificate and finally the highest coaching qualification in the continent, the AFC Professional Coaching Diploma commonly known as the Pro Diploma.
From 2017 onwards, head coaches must have a minimum qualification of the ‘A’ certificate or Pro Diploma depending on the type of AFC competitions their teams are taking part.
