Manama: Bahraini national, former national and pro league players were among 24 men and women who took part in a recently concluded AFC ‘C’ Football Coaching Certificate Course in Bahrain.
Bahrain Football Association President H.E. Shaikh Ali Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and General Secretary Hassan Ismail Mohammed attended the closing ceremony of the course at the Bahrain Football Association’s headquarters.
Shaikh Ali has affirmed the Bahraini coaches’ important role in improving coaching in Bahrain and praised the participants in the two-week course which had started on December 18 last year.
In his speech at the closing ceremony, Shaikh Ali also pointed out the association’s keenness on providing all forms of support to the new coaches as coaching is one of the priorities that contribute to the game’s improvement. He also thanked the AFC for the support to the Bahrain FA’s coach education efforts.
Course instructor Abdul Saheb Abdul Nabi from Bahrain said the closing ceremony was fantastic because of the attendance of the Bahrain FA President and General Secretary and also the support from the course instructors.
He was also buoyed by the encouraging football development efforts made and the association's ability to organise educational activities and thanked all the participants for their performance, efforts and commitments showed during the course. Abdul Nabi was assisted by Khudhair Abdul Nabi and A'abed Al Ansari in delivering the course.
On behalf of participants, Rashid Al Doseri, a former national team player, said the participants were thankful to the AFC for the educational opportunities in the Kingdom and hoped to the efforts for the development of coaches would be continued.
The course participants included national women’s team players Huda Ali, Marwa Al Zayed, Aalaa Al Derazi. The other participants were Rashid Al Doseri, Alaa Hubail, Sayed Shubbar Alawi Ibrahim, Basil Sultan, Hisham Al Obaidaly, Hussain Ayyad, Sadiq Marhoon, Nawaf Al Malki, Sayed Hadi Hameed, Mahmood Al Ghawi, Mansoor Al Rahma, Ali Al Shomeli, Burair Shehab, Abedeen Abbas, Abbas Al Tooq, Adnan Ali, Othman Mohammed, Abbas Nesaif, Saad Al Doseri, Malek AlFarhan and Faisal Ali.
The AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate Course aims at training coaches and developing their basic techniques and skills in football. It is designed to teach the coaches to organise, direct and conduct basic coaching practices targeting especially young players.
