AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Magic Moments Bracket Challenge Contest Contest Rules

Welcome to the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Magic Moments Bracket Challenge Contest ("Contest"). Fans will have the opportunity to relive a total of sixteen (16) greatest moments in the history of the AFC Asian Cup and vote for their favourite moment through a bracket challenge. 

 

By participating, voters also stand a chance to win exclusive prizes in the contest. Vote for your favourite video and showcase your football knowledge through the quiz questions available during the voting process.

 

The Contest comprises four (4) rounds: 

(a) the round of 16, which consists of eight (8) match-ups with two (2) videos each;   

(b) the quarter-finals round, which consists of four (4) match-ups with two (2) videos each;  

(c) the semi-finals round, which consists of two (2) match-ups with two (2) videos each; and   

(d) the final round, which consists of 1 match-up of two (2) videos in total.  

 

In each round, the moments will be paired up in head-to-head match-ups. Fans can both watch and vote on all match-ups in a round. The moment with the highest number of votes in each match-up will advance to the next round, where it will be paired up with another winning moment. The other moment will be eliminated from the event. This process will continue until fifteen (15) moments have been eliminated and only one moment remains as the winner.

 

To enter the Contest, you need to: 

 

1.Visit the website: www.the-afc.com/magicmoments (“Website”) or access the AFC Live App (“AFC App’) 

2.Register by providing the following information: 

·       First and Last Name; 

·       Email Address; and

·       Place of Residence; 

·       Date of Birth

 

3. When the voting period is open, you will need to vote for your favourite video and answer the quiz questions which comprises of three (3) questions on football related trivia. 

 

The Contest shall be organised from 00:00, 18 December, 2023 to 23:59, 4 January, 2023 in accordance with Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), in the following four (4) rounds:

(a) the round of 16: 00:00, 18 December, 2023 to 23:59, 21 December, 2023

(b) the quarter-finals round: 00:00, 23 December, 2023 to 23:59, 26 December, 2023

(c) the semi-finals round: 00:00, 28 December, 2023 to 23:59, 31 December, 2023

(d) the final round: 00:00, 2 January, 2024 to 23:59, 4 January, 2024

 

You can only vote in the active round. Once a round is complete, all votes are locked and cannot be altered. It is not possible to retrospectively vote on moments if you have missed a round of voting.

 

1.       The Top Winner will be awarded the following (collectively the “Top Winner Prize”):

·       An all-expenses paid trip for the Top Winner and one (1) guest to the Saudi Arabia comprising of the following elements:

o   Airfare: Round-trip economy class tickets for two (2) from the winner's home country to Saudi Arabia.

o   Accommodation: Five (5) nights stay for the Top Winner and his/her guest in a 4-star hotel in Saudi Arabia, including breakfast.

o   Transportation: Airport transfers and transportation to all scheduled cultural events.

o   Cultural Tours:

§  Riyadh: Exploring traditional Souqs and experiencing the city's vibrant culture.

§  Jeddah: Visits to historical Azell and Albalad, showcasing the rich history and heritage.

§  Al Ula: A journey to the old town, with visits to Elephant Rock and Al Bujairi heritage park, offering insights into both ancient and modern Saudi culture.

o   Travel Insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of the trip.

o   Spending Money: US$2,000 (two thousand United States dollars) spending money for the Top Winner and his/her guest collectively.

o   Special Experiences: An exclusive tour of local football facilities and a meet-and-greet with renowned football personalities, if feasible.

 

2.       The Round Winners will be awarded the following (collectively, the “Round Winner Prizes”):

·       One (1) smartphone.

 

(a) Top Winner: 

The top winner will be determined based on 1) most completed votes that match the winning moment across all four (4) rounds: The participant with the highest number of completed votes that accurately match the winning moments in each of the four (4) rounds will be ranked highest. 2) Most correct number answers of Quiz Questions: In the event of a tie in the completed votes, the participant with the highest number of correct answers to the Quiz Questions will be ranked higher. 3) Least amount of time to answer all the questions: If there is still a tie, the participant who takes the least amount of time to answer all the quiz questions will be ranked higher.

 

(b) Round Winners: 

There will be four (4) round winners, one for each round of the contest. The round winner will be determined based on 1) most completed votes that match the winning moment in a round: The participant with the highest number of completed votes that accurately match the winning moments in a round will be ranked highest. 2) Most correct number answers of Quiz Questions: In the event of a tie in the completed votes, the participant with the highest number of correct answers to the Quiz Questions will be ranked higher. 3) Least amount of time to answer all the questions: If there is still a tie, the participant who takes the least amount of time to answer all the quiz questions will be ranked higher.

 

 

The winner will be notified via the email address provided during sign up.
