#AsianCup2023 100-day countdown: Hayya Asia unveiled as official slogan

Doha: With 100 days to go to Asia’s most prestigious men’s tournament, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Local Organising Committee (LOC) today unveiled the official slogan of the competition: Hayya Asia.

Presenting fervent fans of Asian football with the opportunity to have their voices heard, Hayya Asia was confirmed as the official slogan of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ from a shortlist of 11, following a global online engagement campaign launched on 12 September to mark  the tournament’s four-month countdown.

AFC President welcomes FWC hosting decision, backs SAFF intent to bid for 2034 edition

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has welcomed FIFA's decision to invite Member Associations from the AFC to bid for the FIFA World Cup 2034, while expressing his full support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s intention to bid for the coveted hosting rights.

“The AFC endorses the FIFA World Cup hosting decisions taken by the FIFA Council as we strongly believe it paves the way for a more equitable opportunity for all Confederations to bid for, and host, the prestigious FIFA World Cup – the pinnacle of world men’s football,” said the AFC President.

Riyadh: Roberto Mancini said he hoped to lead Saudi Arabia to AFC Asian Cup™ victory within months after he was confirmed as the West Asian side's head coach on Monday. 

The former Inter Milan and Manchester City boss held up a green shirt that read "Mancini 2027" after inking a contract to stay with the Green Falcons beyond the next FIFA World Cup.

Hong Kong: Head coach Jorn Andersen has signed a two-year contract extension, the Football Association of Hong Kong, China Limited (HKFA) announced on Tuesday.

VORTEXAC23 is designed to capture the excitement, passion, and speed of the game of football while incorporating the iconic maroon colours of the host nation, Qatar. The ball’s design also parallels the emblem of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™, which is featured at its centre, drawing inspiration from the emblem’s unique colours and shapes to encapsulate the spirit of the competition as well as that of Asian football.
