Indonesia continue streak, opening day win for Australia

Bangkok: Intense action continued in Group A of the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship with Indonesia bagging their second win, while Australia kicked off their Group B campaign with a win over Timor-Leste on Monday. 

In Group A, a second half blitz saw Indonesia take down Malaysia 5-1, while Brunei Darussalam salvaged a point with a 2-2 draw against Cambodia.

Vietnam were denied an opening day win in Group B when Myanmar came from a goal down to force a 1-1 draw, while Australia impressed in the second half to secure all three points against Timor-Leste.

AFC Futsal Asian Cup Kuwait 2022™ Qualifiers poised for exciting battles

Kuala Lumpur: Asian futsal will make a welcome return when the anticipated AFC Futsal Asian Cup Kuwait 2022™ Qualifiers get underway tomorrow at centralised venues. 

With host nation Kuwait already assured of a place in the tournament, the Qualifiers will be divided into the West and East Zones while the Central and South Zones are combined, with a total of 15 spots on offer at the tournament proper in September.

Group A: Unstoppable Indonesia, Thailand secure wins

Bangkok: Thailand cruised past Cambodia for a second successive win in Group A of the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship on Sunday, while Indonesia opened their campaign with a strong result over Brunei Darussalam.

Thailand were simply too much for Cambodia after securing a 16-0 win to top the standings with six points after successive wins, while Indonesia enjoyed a great start after beating Brunei 12-0.

Bangkok: Thailand and Malaysia kicked off their 2022 AFF Futsal Championship Group A with wins over Brunei Darussalam and Cambodia respectively on Saturday. 

Thailand signalled their determination to defend their title after outclassing Brunei with 13 unanswered goals, while Malaysia emerged victorious in a 13-goal frenzy against Cambodia.
