Kuala Lumpur: Korea Republic coach Lee Chang-hwan has said his side are improving with each game in the 2012 AFC Futsal Championship, East Zone qualifiers after comfortably defeating Hong Kong 7-0 to top Group A and set up a semi-final showdown with Group B runners-up Chinese Taipei.
Speaking to www.the-afc.com after Tuesday's win at the Cheras Indoor Stadium, Lee said:
"We gave a better performance than we did against Mongolia and the players' condition is getting better which is a good sign for the next matches."
The South Koreans' win over Hong Kong followed the 5-1 triumph with Shin Jong-hoon netting a hat-trick in both matches.
And not surprisingly Lee is keen to see the star striker continue his prolific form in Thursday's semi-final with Chinese Taipei and beyond.
"Our number seven [Shin] did well again and he is the best player in the team right now. I hope he will continue to perform well in the next two games.
"Our target is to win this competition and to do that we must concentrate fully."
