Young Indonesia have a bright future, says Hashemzadeh

Kuwait City: Head coach Mohammad Hashemzadeh had nothing but praise for his Indonesian side despite crashing out of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022 quarter-finals after a narrow 3-2 defeat to Japan on Tuesday. 

Samuel Eko opened the scoring at the start of the second half, only for a determined Japan to bounce back to lead 3-1, with Dewa Rizki’s last minute goal coming a little too late.

Shamsaee proud as IR Iran stay on course; Giustozzi vows Vietnam will improve

Kuwait City: Vahid Shamsaee was proud of his players for their exceptional performance in the 8-1 defeat of Vietnam as Islamic Republic of Iran advanced to their 16th consecutive AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ semi-finals on Tuesday. 

Iran continued their fine performance from the group stage, where they scored 24 goals, with another dominant display as they moved a step closer to a record-extending 13th title.

Q-final: Japan fight back to end Indonesia's dream run

Kuwait City: Japan came back from a goal down to beat Indonesia 3-2 to advance to the AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022 semi-finals on Tuesday. 

The three-time champions had to work hard for victory against an Indonesian side who held their own for long periods of the absorbing quarter-final encounter. 

Japan will face Uzbekistan, who defeated Kuwait 3-0, in Thursday's semi-final.

Kuwait City: Uzbekistan showed their title credentials as they beat Kuwait 3-0 in their AFC Futsal Asian Cup™ Kuwait 2022 quarter-final at the Saad Al Abdullah Hall on Tuesday.

Uzbekistan will face three-time champions Japan - who defeated Indonesia 3-2 earlier on Tuesday - in Thursday’s semi-final.
