Kathmandu: Tajikistan manager Noor Umarov expects the trio of Khurshed Makhmudov, Eraj Rajabov and Ilhomzhon Ortikov to be available for their AFC Challenge Cup 2012 Group B opener on Friday.
Midfielders Ortikov and Makhmudov, a two-time AFC President's Cup winner with Regar-TadAZ and FC Istikol defender Rajabov, who was part of the Tajikistan squad that finished runners-up to India at the 2008 AFC Challenge Cup had light training on Tuesday and are expected to be available for selection.
"All of them suffered minor ankle injuries but they could run and train individually today (Tuesday) and we are very hopeful that they will start the match on Friday," Umarov told www.the-afc.com.
