Qualifiers - Group E: Iraq 2-2 Jordan; Australia 3-0 Bhutan

Aqaba: Australia opened a two-point lead at the top of Group E of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers after a 3-0 win against Bhutan on Wednesday.

Jordan and Iraq, meanwhile, battled to a 2-2 draw.

#AFCU17 Qualifiers - MD3 Results & Reports

Kuala Lumpur: Matchday Three of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ Qualifiers came to a close after a thrilling day of action on Wednesday.

Only the seven group winners from the Qualifiers will progress and join the nine AFC representatives from the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 that have already qualified: DPR Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Korea Republic, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates and Uzbekistan.

Shanghai: Vissel Kobe opened up a three-point gap at the top of the East Zone standings in the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26 on Wednesday as Takayuki Yoshida’s side secured a 2-0 win over Shanghai Shenhua at Shanghai Stadium.

Yosuke Ideguchi’s 31st minute opener was followed by Tetsushi Yamakawa’s header eight minutes later as the J1 League side notched their fourth win in five matches to pull clear of Melbourne City at the top of the standings.

Shenhua, who saw Andre Luis’ late penalty saved by Shuichi Gonda, remain on four points and in 11th place, three points outside the qualifying spots for March’s Round of 16.

Ulsan: Ulsan HD played out a 0-0 draw with Buriram United at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium on Wednesday as both clubs consolidated their positions in the top eight places in the standings in the AFC Champions League Elite™ 2025/26.

Neither side was able to find a breakthrough in a tense encounter in Korea Republic with Buriram goalkeeper Neil Etheridge making a late fingertip save from Heo Yool to secure a point for Mark Jackson’s Thai League 1 side.

The draw takes Ulsan onto eight points from their first five matches in the East Zone League Stage and level on points with Sanfrecce Hiroshima, FC Seoul and Machida Zelvia with Buriram United a further point adrift.

The results leaves Bangkok United level on 10 points with Indonesia’s Persib Bandung, who were stunned 3-2 by Lion City Sailors of Singapore - who moved up to seven points with Selangor staying rooted at the bottom.

The win moved the Singapore side to seven points, with Malaysia’s Selangor FC their final fixture. Persib - on 10 points - will advance if they avoid defeat against Bangkok United in their final fixture.
