California: Adelaide United winger Awer Mabil struck twice as Australia eased to a 4-1 victory over Bermuda on Monday as the Young Socceroos geared up for October's AFC U-19 Champions at the four-team NTC Invitational Tournament.
Mabil broke the deadlock with 23 minutes at the Mooch Myernick Field gone before the 2012-13 National Youth League Player of the Year regained Australia's lead with his second ten minutes in to the second half after Bermuda had drawn level through a 41st minute an own goal from Scott Galloway, who was part of the Melbourne Victory squad that took part in the 2014 AFC Champions League.
The score remained looked at 2-1 until Marc Marino struck two minutes into stoppage time before Melbourne City midfielder Stefan Mauk capped the win with the fourth and final goal a minute later.
The Young Socceroos are next in action against Chile on Wednesday when the under 19s meet just over a month after the two senior sides clashed in Cuiaba in their opening fixture of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which ended 3-1 in favour of the South Americans.
