Kuala Lumpur: The AFC U20 Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers concluded on Sunday with the 16 teams for the Finals confirmed.

The 10 group winners and five best second-placed teams join hosts China PR in the Finals, which will be played on February 6-23, 2025.

Qualifiers - Group I: Myanmar 1-4 Turkmenistan; Japan 1-1 Kyrgyz Republic

Qualifiers - Group I: Myanmar 1-4 Turkmenistan; Japan 1-1 Kyrgyz Republic

Bishkek: Japan topped Group I of the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers Group I after coming from behind to force a 1-1 draw with Kyrgyz Republic on Sunday.

Both teams finished on seven points, with Japan winning the group on goal difference while Kyrgyz Republic advanced as one of the best five second-placed sides.

Earlier, Turkmenistan defeated Myanmar 2-1 for their first points of the campaign.

Qualifiers - Group D: Afghanistan 0-0 Palestine; Australia 0-0 Saudi Arabia

Abha: Saudi Arabia and Australia both qualified for the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ China 2025 despite having to share the spoils in a goalless draw on Sunday.

That result saw Saudi Arabia finishing as the Group D winners with a superior goal difference while Australia's seven points were also enough for them to finish as one of the best five runners-up through to the Finals.

In an earlier game in the group, it was a similar outcome with Afghanistan and Palestine sharing the points after an evenly fought contest.

Jakarta: Indonesia confirmed their ticket to the AFC U20 Asian Cup China™ 2025 after a 1-1 draw with Yemen saw them finishing as the Group F winners.

Both teams finished on seven points, with Indonesia having the better goal difference. Yemen, however, qualified as one of the best five second-placed teams.

Timor-Leste, meanwhile, ended their campaign on a positive note after defeating Maldives 4-1 earlier on Sunday.

Buriram: Five-time champions Iraq booked their place at the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ China 2025 after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Thailand in their Qualifiers Group H match on Sunday.

With the win, Iraq who finished runners-up in the 2023 edition, capped a perfect qualification campaign while there was cheer for two-time winners Thailand despite the defeat as they qualified as one of the best five runners-up.

In the earlier game, Philippines ended their campaign on a high note after a 4-0 win against Brunei Darussalam.

Vientiane: Islamic Republic of Iran closed out their AFC U20 Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers Group G campaign with a resounding 8-0 win over Mongolia on Sunday.

India defeated Laos 2-0 to finish runners-up but the South Asian side will need to wait for the conclusion of the other groups to know if they will advance as one of the best five second placed teams.

Dushanbe: Oman came from behind to defeat Tajikistan 3-1 in their final AFC U20 Asian Cup™ China 2025 Qualifiers Group E tie on Sunday.

The result, however, was not enough for Oman to advance to the Finals, with DPR Korea topping the group with 10 points.

Earlier, Sri Lanka signed off from the Qualifiers with a 1-1 draw against Malaysia.

New Taipei: Uzbekistan sealed their berth at the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ China 2025 after a 5-0 win against Bahrain on Sunday saw them topping Group B of the Qualifiers with a perfect record.

Aiming to defend the title won for the first time in 2023, Uzbekistan confirmed a ninth appearance at the Finals.

The other match saw Cambodia and Chinese Taipei playing to a 1-1 stalemate.
