Saudi Arabia's Albrikan voted Goal of Thailand 2020

Bangkok: Feras Albrikan's match winner for Saudi Arabia against Syria in the group stage has been voted as the best goal of the AFC U23 Championship Thailand 2020.

Albrikan, whose effort was also picked as the best goal of the group stage, was a picture of calmness as he back-heeled the ball into the back of the net as Saudi Arabia won the tie 1-0 to finish as Group B winners.

Saudi Arabia's fine form took them to a runners-up finish as Korea Republic won the title in a closely fought final.

My best achievement, says Korea Republic match winner Jeong

Bangkok: Jeong Tae-wook has described scoring the winning goal for Korea Republic to lift their first-ever AFC U23 Championship title as the best achievement of his young career. 

After a goalless 90-minute stalemate meant extra time, it seemed penalties would be needed to decide the final until Jeong rose the highest to head home Lee Dong-gyeong’s curling free-kick in the 113th minute at the Rajamangala Stadium on Sunday.
