AFC Women's Asian Cup India 2022 Qualifiers - Group E: Uzbekistan see off Mongolia to set up winner-takes-all clash with Korea Republic

Tashkent: Uzbekistan showed Korea Republic will have some competition in their bid to qualify for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022, after the Central Asian side defeated Mongolia 12-0 in their Group E fixture at Pakhtakor Stadium on Monday.

The result leaves the group hosts level in the standings with Colin Bell's side, who defeated Mongolia by the same margin on Friday, leaving Thursday’s final group match to determine which team qualifies for the Finals.

Clearly a class above their inexperienced opponents, Uzbekistan were relentless in their pursuit of a score greater than the one achieved by Korea Republic, with Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva and Makhliyo Sarikova both scoring hat-tricks to officially end Mongolia's qualification hopes.
