Chengdu: Kozue Ando collected the top goal scorer award for the AFC Women's Asian Cup 2010 after helping Japan to third place in Chengdu.
The 27-year-old, who plays for German side Duisburg, scored three goals at the tournament including the first in the Nadeshiko's 2-0 third place play-off win over China on Sunday.
Team-mate and Japan captain Homare Sawa, DPR Korea's Jo Yun-mi and Yoo Young-a of Korea Republic also finished with three goals but Ando scooped the accolade by virtue of having provided more assists.
Ando's other goals came in Japan's 4-0 win over Thailand and 2-1 defeat of DPR Korea as they finished first in Group A.
The striker was the top scorer in Japan last year before making the move to Europe in December to link up with Duisburg, where she has since played in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
Meanwhile, tournament hosts China were handed the Fair Play Award having received no red cards throughout the tournament.
