Kaunas: Pany Varela's brace steered Portugal to a 2-1 in the final of the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021 at the Kaunas Arena on Sunday.
Varela scored in the 15th and 28th minutes as Portugal dethroned 2016 champions Argentina to lift the title for the first time. Claudino pulled one back for Argentina in the 28th minute but Portugal held on for the title, adding it to the UEFA Futsal EURO crown they already hold.

Vietnam through to FIFA Futsal World Cup knockout stage after draw with Czech Republic
Kaunas: Vietnam played to a 1-1 draw with Czech Republic in their final Group D match of the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021 at the Kaunas Arena on Sunday.
The result meant Vietnam - with four points - finished third in the group but advanced to the Round of 16 as one of the best third-placed finishers. Brazil won the group with nine points with Czech Republic second.
