Tazuni revealed as Official Mascot of Australia & New Zealand 2023

Sydney: Tazuni, a fun, football-loving penguin was unveiled on Tuesday as the Official Mascot of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023, capturing the spirit of an event that will go Beyond Greatness.

Based on the ‘Eudyptula minor’ species endemic to Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia, Tazuni is the perfect representative of the host region and will help to bring the excitement of the highly anticipated tournament to a new generation of fans.

Cast confirmed for Uzbekistan 2023

Kuala Lumpur: The 16 teams for the AFC U20 Asian Cup™ Uzbekistan 2023 was finalised on Tuesday with Australia topping Group H with a perfect record of three wins.

Australia defeated Iraq 1-0 in their final match at the Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium in Kuwait City.

There was, however, cheer for Iraq despite the defeat as they advanced as one of the best five runners-up.

​​Qatar 2022 organisers announce additional 30,000 rooms for FIFA World Cup visitors

Doha: With just over one month to go, ticket sales for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 are approaching 3 million as the countdown continues to the first edition of the tournament in West Asia, which will get underway at Al Bayt Stadium on 20 November. 

Organisers announced a further 30,000 rooms had been made available to World Cup visitors as Qatar prepares to stage 64 matches at eight state-of-the-art stadiums. 

The biggest variety of accommodation is available from the Qatar Accommodation Agency. Rooms can be booked from US$80 per person, per night based on two-person occupancy. Accommodation options include hotels, apartments and fan villages.
