NFABD receives AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze Membership

Bandar Seri Begawan: The National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) is the latest Member Association (MA) to be awarded with the AFC Grassroots Charter Bronze Membership for their commitment to promote grassroots football in the country.

NFABD has laid out a robust plan that focusses on maximising participation at all age groups while also including the fun element in competitions and activities.

By partnering with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports and football associations, NFABD is determined to make football accessible at all levels.

Coaches and Young players benefit from FAM - HKFA online football programme

Kuala Lumpur: The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and the Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA), organised an online programme titled “Football for Friendship” to further promote cultural and knowledge exchange between coaches and young players from both Hong Kong and Malaysia. 

The programme invited 22 coaches from the two regions to provide informative lessons to eight classes consisting of U10, U12 and U13 age categories. A total of 216 boys and girls participated in the engaging online activities that comprised sessions on football discussion and ways to improve techniques by using the Train Effective App.

PFA organises grassroots festival in schools

Al Ram: Palestine Football Association (PFA) continued to reach more children through the power of football by organising 15 grassroots festivals for children from November 16 to December 8, 2020.

The festival in conjunction with the Girls Football Coaching Courses (GFCC) and supported by the Palestinian Ministry of Education and the Norway Football Federation (NFF), was held in 15 schools in Palestine where more than 2,000 children, comprising mostly girls, participated in the programmes designed by the PFA.

FFT launches inaugural Grassroots Awards 

Ashgabat: The Football Federation of Turkmenistan (FFT) established its first-ever Grassroots Awards to recognise the contributions of grassroots coaches and volunteers for their efforts in encouraging more people to participate in football.

Held in collaboration with the country’s sports schools, the FFT awarded Chary Annamamedov as the Best Grassroots Coach of the Year while Eziz Annamuhammedov and Selbi Kichigulova were honoured as the Best Grassroots Young Coach and the Best Grassroots Volunteer respectively at the Ashgabat stadium.

PE teachers and students benefit from MFF’s grassroots programme

Ulaanbaatar: The Mongolian Football Federation (MFF), in collaboration with 21 regional football associations, successfully organised six grassroots coach educators’ courses and grassroots festivals across the country. 

A total of 120 Physical Education (PE) teachers from Arkhangai, Khuvsgol, Gobi- Altai, Darkhan, Sukhbaatar and Dornod attended the two-day grassroots workshops, which comprised training sessions and were also graced by national team players.

Ground-breaking AFC Grassroots Charter continues to gain momentum

Kuala Lumpur: The Asian Football Confederation’s (AFC) commitment to expand the reach of football across the Continent, as outlined in its Vision and Mission, was further strengthened at the 10th AFC Grassroots Panel meeting which was held online on Thursday.

Led by AFC Technical Director Andy Roxburgh, the Panel confirmed the addition of the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) as the latest member of the AFC Grassroots Charter under the Bronze category.

BFF focuses on targeted grassroots development across Bangladesh

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will further enhance the development of Grassroots football as well as improve the quality of Grassroots coaches by implementing dynamic programmes in the country.

BFF has launched a roadmap to promote Grassroots football in divisions and districts of Bangladesh.

The first programme successfully started on November 18 in the regions of Feni, Madaripur and Nilphamari where approximately 600 boys and 180 girls participated in the football programmes organised by BFF.
