Jebali wants perfect Gamba to go all the way

Suita: Issam Jebali is determined to see Gamba Osaka fulfill the promise they have shown by lifting the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ title after the Japanese side completed a perfect group stage campaign by defeating Ratchburi FC 2-0 on Thursday.

The Japanese side finished a whopping nine points ahead of second-placed Ratchaburi and forward Jebali said there should be no let up, even with head coach Daniel Poyatos leaving the club.

Hong Kong: A James Temelkovski penalty gave Hong Kong’s Tai Po FC a 1-0 win over Cong An Ha Noi FC in a scrappy AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ Group E encounter at the Mong Kok Stadium on Thursday.

The Vietnamese side, who confirmed their Round of 16 ticket with a 2-1 win over Beijing FC on Matchday Five, finished second on eight points, five behind Macarthur FC. Tai Po closed one point adrift in third.

Group F: Nam Dinh FC (VIE) 9-0 Eastern FC (HKG)

Nam Dinh: Nam Dinh handed Eastern FC an 9-0 defeat at Thien Truong Stadium in Group F of the AFC Champions League Two 2025/26™ on Thursday but the margin of victory was not enough to take the Vietnamese side into the knockout rounds.

Brazilian striker Brenner scored a hat-trick while Romulo netted twice and Caio Cesar, Kevin Pham Ba and Ly Cong Hoang Anh were on target before Leung Chun Pong’s late own goal but the win was not enough to overhaul Ratchaburi to finish second in the standings.
 
Ratchaburi’s 2-0 loss to already-qualified Gamba Osaka means the Thai League 1 side advance in second place ahead of Mauro Jeronimo’s side having scored more goals than Nam Dinh, who exit the competition alongside Eastern.

Hanoi: Vietnam were at their devastating best as they defeated Malaysia 4-0 in their Qualifiers Group C tie on Sunday to book their place at the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™.

Macau ended their campaign on a positive note with a 2-0 win over Northern Mariana Islands while Singapore and Hong Kong, China shared a 1-1 stalemate.

Malaysia edged Singapore 2-1 while Vietnam defeated Macau 4-0, with the group hosts holding a superior goal difference going into Sunday’s showdown.

Sydney: Luke Vickery was thrilled to have stolen the spotlight at Campbelltown Stadium, scoring a brace to secure a thrilling 2-1 victory over Tai Po FC to ensure Macarthur FC’s progression to the AFC Champions League Two™ 2025/26 Knockout Stages on Thursday.

The 20-year-old came off the bench, levelled the score in the 50th minute and netted again 20 minutes later from inside the box to seal Macarthur’s come-from-behind-win.

Hanoi: Cong An Ha Noi FC booked their spot in the Round of 16 after coming from behind to defeat Beijing FC 2-1 in their AFC Champions League Two™ 2026/26 Group E tie on Thursday.

The result puts Cong An Ha Noi on eight points, three ahead of Beijing FC with Macarthur FC of Australia on 10.

Ratchaburi: Stoppage time goals from Sidcley and Ikhsan Fandi earned hosts Ratchaburi a last-gasp 2-0 win over Nam Dinh in Group F of the AFC Champions League Two™ 2025/26 that keeps their side’s hopes of a place in the knockout rounds alive.

Sidcley netted from close range to put Worrawoot Srimaka’s side ahead in the second minute of additional time and Ikshan doubled the advantage three minutes later to claim a win that moves Ratchaburi up to second in the standings, three points clear of Nam Dinh with one round remaining.

Ratchaburi will face already-qualified Gamba Osaka from Japan on December 11 needing to avoid defeat to progress while Nam Dinh will meet Hong Kong Premier League side Eastern needing a win to have any chance of qualifying.
