Preview - Q-final: Uzbekistan v China PR

Jeddah: Uzbekistan and China PR will both be aiming for the stars when they square off in the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ quarter-finals on Saturday.

Uzbekistan head coach Ravshan Khaydarov is targeting the title while his China PR counterpart Antonio Puche expects his team to create more history after advancing to the knockout stage for the first time.

Khaydarov guided Uzbekistan to a first place finish in Group C while China PR finished second in Group D.

Japan cruised to the Group B top spot with three wins while Jordan showed grit to bounce back from an opening day defeat to advance as the Group A runners-up.

While Kim Sang-sik expects his Vietnam side to continue their impressive group stage form, UAE’s Marcelo Broli is optimistic his players will rise to the occasion and advance to the semi-finals for the first time.

Vietnam topped Group A with a perfect record of three wins while UAE had to fend off a strong Syria to advance as the Group B runners-up.
