Dushanbe: The CAFA Women’s Championship Tajikistan 2022 will go down to the wire after Uzbekistan and Islamic Republic of Iran both extended their unbeaten streaks at the Republican Central Stadium on Sunday.
Both teams have recorded three wins from as many matches with Uzbekistan scoring seven past Kyrgyz Republic, while Iran defeated newcomers Turkmenistan 4-0, setting up a winner-takes all clash on Wednesday.
Uzbekistan have a nine-goal advantage over Iran with Turkmenistan third on two points.
Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan are both tied on one point each. They remain fourth and fifth respectively but will have a chance to improve their position when they meet in their final fixture.
Dushanbe: Defending champions Uzbekistan maintained their grip on top spot after cruising to a 6-0 win over Turkmenistan in the CAFA Women’s Championship Tajikistan 2022 at the Republican Central Stadium on Thursday.
Islamic Republic of Iran were equally impressive, scoring five unanswered goals past Tajikistan in the day’s other fixture.
Uzbekistan have a six-goal advantage over Iran, who are also on six points, with Turkmenistan third on two points.

In a must-win match against Altyn Asyr FC on Matchday Two, Kyrgyz Republic's Neftchi started brightly at the Republican Central Stadium, only to fall behind in the 34th minute when Myrat Annayev slotted home a penalty.
Neftchi failed to mount a comeback as the Turkmenistan club held on for the win.
