Kuwait City: Turkmenistan’s FC Arkadag produced a fighting performance to edge Maziya Sports & RC of Maldives 2-1 in their AFC Challenge League™ 2024/25 Group B fixture at the Kuwait Sports Club Stadium on Saturday.

The come-from-behind win took Arkadag to the top of the standings, ahead of Kyrgyz Republic’s FC Abdysh-Ata who defeated Al Arabi SC of Kuwait 1-0 in the earlier match, with the two Central Asian sides to meet on Tuesday.

Kuwait City: FC Abdysh-Ata earned a hard-fought 1-0 win over Kuwait’s Al Arabi SC in their AFC Challenge League™ Group B tie at the Kuwait Sports Club Stadium on Saturday.

Erbol Atabaev’s 62nd minute strike sealed the points for the Kyrgyz Republic side, who will face FC Arkadag of Turkmenistan on Matchday Two with Al Arabi to play Maziya Sports & RC of the Maldives.

Madih Talal put Bengal in front only for William Opoku to restore parity with his penalty before Paro took the half-time lead with an Evans Asante’s strike.

The Indian Super League side fought back to earn a valuable point thanks to Dimitrios Diamantakos’ second half equaliser.
