Phnom Penh: Kwame Peprah scored a hat-trick as Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng FC battled back from going behind to an early Moses Dyer strike to secure a comprehensive 4-1 win over fellow Cambodians Phnom Penh Crown FC in the first leg of the sides’ AFC Challenge League 2025/26™ quarter-final on Thursday.

Dyer put Phnom Penh in front in the third minute before Peprah levelled 26 minutes later, and the Ghanaian struck twice more either side of a 75th minute penalty from Patrick to give Matt McConkey’s side a significant advantage ahead of next week’s second leg.

The AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ cemented its place in history by setting a new total attendance record of 82,371, after Thursday’s Group A fixture between Australia and the Islamic Republic of Iran drew a crowd of 22,398 at the Gold Coast Stadium.

The match saw the 21st edition of the Continental showpiece eclipse the previous tournament attendance record of 59,910, which was set in Chengdu, China PR, in 2010 when Australia were crowned champions.
