Group E: Beijing FC (CHN) 2-2 Cong An Ha Noi FC (VIE)

Beijing: Rogerio Alves scored 17 minutes from time to earn Vietnam’s Cong An Ha Noi FC a 2-2 draw with Beijing FC in an end-to-end thriller at Workers’ Stadium as the teams shared the points in their AFC Champions League Two™ 2025/26 Group E opener on Thursday.

Vitao had given the visitors the lead in the 15th minute before Mano Polking’s side squandered a series of chances to finish off the Chinese Super League outfit, allowing Chi Zhongguo to level four minutes into the second half.

Zhang Yuan then put the home side in front in the 65th minute but Alves pulled Cong An Ha Noi level eight minutes later to claim a deserved point for the V.League 1 leaders.

Group E: Tai Po FC (HKG) 2-1 Macarthur FC (AUS)

Hong Kong: Tai Po FC made a winning start to their AFC Champions League Two™ 2025/26 campaign on Thursday as the Hong Kong Premier League side notched up a 2-1 victory over 10-man Macarthur FC at Mongkok Stadium in Group E.

Gabriel Moreira gave Tai Po a third minute lead and Callum Talbot was sent off for the visitors four minutes into first half injury time before Michel Renner doubled his side’s lead in the 66th minute.

 

James Temelkovski’s own goal four minutes later gave the Australian side a lifeline but Tai Po prevailed to take all three points.

Petaling Jaya: Bangkok United got their AFC Champions League Two™ 2025/26 Group G campaign off to an impressive start with a 4-2 defeat of Selangor FC at MBPJ Stadium on Thursday.

Totchtawan Sripan’s side led 3-1 at half-time but had to weather heavy pressure from 10-man Selangor in the second half before confirming their victory.

Bandung: Lennart Thy was the hero with a late goal as Lion City Sailors FC earned a 1-1 draw with Persib Bandung in their AFC Champions League Two™ 2025/26 Group G tie at the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium on Thursday.

Saddil Ramdani gave Persib a well deserved lead but Sailors clawed their way back deep into stoppage time with Thy heading home the equaliser.

Pathum Thani: A dominant FC Pohang Steelers outplayed Thailand’s BG Pathum United but had to settle for a 1-0 win in their AFC Champions League Two™ 2025/26 Group H game on Thursday.

Lee Dong-Hyeop's first-half strike at the Pathum Thani Stadium ensured a winning start for the former Asian champions and will give the Korea Republic side a boost when they face the Philippines’ Kaya FC Iloilo in their next match.
