Kuala Lumpur: Aspiring Asian clubs will begin their quest for AFC Cup glory when Palestine’s Hilal Alquds Club host Sur Club from Oman at the Faisal Al-Husseini Stadium at 2pm local time on Tuesday.
Hilal Alquds Club, aiming for a second straight appearance in the group stage of the AFC Cup, square off in the first leg of the play-off against Sur Club who are making their return to the competition for the first time since 2008.
The 2020 AFC Cup will be immensely significant for the participating teams, as for the first time-ever, the champions will automatically qualify for the 2021 AFC Champions League in the play-off stage.

Kuala Lumpur: Indonesia's PSM Makassar have appointed Bojan Hodak as head coach.
Makassar, who will face Timor Leste's Lalenok United FC in the play-off stage of the 2020 AFC Cup, have signed a two-year contract with the vastly experienced Croatian.
A proven winner, Makassar will be hoping Hodak, 49, can steer them to honours as the reigning Piala Indonesia champions look to stamp their mark domestically and on the continent.

Kuala Lumpur: Al Ahed FC will begin the defence of their AFC Cup title in Group A following the completion of the draw for the 2020 edition at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
Al Ahed will have Bahrain's Manama Club, Al Jaish of Syria and the winner of the West Zone Play-off for company as the Lebanese side will seek to make it back-to-back AFC titles after defeating DPR Korea's 4.25 SC in the 2019 final.
