New Taipei: DPR Korea champions 4.25 SC kicked off their 2019 AFC Cup Group I campaign with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Chinese Taipei’s Hang Yuan on Wednesday.
The visitors started the game on the front foot and Won Song’s spectacular curling effort from 20 yards brought out a flying save from Huang Chiu-Lin after 14 minutes.
Some determined defensive blocks kept 4.25 SC out on several occasions but the opening goal looked a matter of time as the Koreans continued to dominate.

Lalitpur: Bangladesh’s Abahani Limited started their AFC Cup campaign on a winning note with a tough 1-0 win against Nepalese side Manang Marshyangdi Club on Wednesday.
The Nepalese side were playing in the AFC Cup for the first time, in fact it was the first time a Nepalese side had participated in the group stage of the AFC Cup, and they started brightly in front of a vocal home crowd at the ANFA Complex.
It was Chhiring Lopsang Gurung’s side who had the first chance of the game, but Bishal Rai saw his effort easily saved by Shahidul Alam.

Yangon: A late goal from Wander Luiz saw Becamex Binh Duong record their first victory of this year’s AFC Cup campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Shan United at Thuwunna Stadium on Wednesday.
With neither side having registered a win in the first two matches, it was close enough to last chance saloon for both sides if they were to have any chance of progressing from Group G.
It was the home side who had the first chance of the game but Maycon couldn’t get the better of Binh Duong goalkeeper Tran Duc Cuong.
Nguyen Thanh Son's side then had a great chance after 16 minutes, but despite being played into space on the right-hand side, To Van Vu couldn’t direct his shot on target and the ball flashed across the front of goal and away from danger.

Singapore: Abdil Qaiyyim, the match winner for Home United in their 2019 AFC Cup Group H encounter with Lao Toyota, spoke of his delight after his header on the stroke of half time sealed their first win of this year’s campaign.
Having made the ASEAN Zonal Final for the last two years, the Protectors were confident of another good showing in the AFC Cup, but without a win after their first two games they were desperate to get back on the winners’ list to get their campaign back on track.
They were made to work hard for their 1-0 win, but Qaiyyim’s header in first half stoppage time was enough to seal all three points.

Manama: Substitute Shaheen Al Khamees scored what could prove a crucial late winner with almost the last kick of the game as Kuwait SC claimed a deserved 1-0 victory over Bahrain's Al Najma in Group B of the 2019 AFC Cup on Tuesday.
Three-time AFC Cup champions Kuwait SC had the better of both halves at the Bahrain National Stadium but missed a host of chances as the game appeared to be heading for a stalemate until Al Khamees stunned the hosts with a fabulous curling effort from 20 yards at the death.
The win moved Kuwait SC level on four points with Al Najma at the midway point of the group stage, with both sides three points behind table-toppers Al Jazeera of Jordan, who defeated Syria's Al Ittihad 4-0 earlier on Tuesday.

Amman: Jordan’s Al Jazeera matched their biggest-ever AFC Cup victory with an emphatic 4-0 win over Syria’s Al Ittihad on Matchday Three of the 2019 AFC Cup Group Stage at the Amman International Stadium on Tuesday.
The Jordanian side had defeated Oman’s Al Suwaiq with the same scoreline in the group stage last year.

Cibinong: Marwin Angeles, the hero for Kaya FC in their 1-1 draw with Indonesia’s PSM Makassar, has praised his side’s never-say-die attitude after he scored a dramatic stoppage time equaliser to keep the Filipino side top of Group H on Tuesday.
Kaya came into the 2019 AFC Cup match in Indonesia top of Group H on goal difference ahead of the Indonesians, so a win was crucial for either side as they both look to advance to the ASEAN Zonal Semi Finals.
Despite the home side dominating possession, and taking the lead early in the second half, Kaya never gave up and secured a vital point when Angeles was found unmarked in the box in the 93rd minute, controlling the ball on his chest and volleying home past Rivki Mokodompit.
