Singapore: Singapore’s Home United FC stormed into the AFC Cup Group Stage as they beat Phnom Penh Crown FC 7-3 on aggregate thanks to 3-0 win over the Cambodian side in their Play-off second leg encounter on Tuesday.
Spurred on by their 4-3 win in the first leg last week, Adam Swandi opened Home’s account with a 14th minute strike before Croatian Stipe Plazibat doubled the host side's advantage on 71 minutes at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
Substitute Amiruldin Asyraf, who came on in the first half, then made it 3-0 on the night on 82 minutes to end any chance of a comeback for Phnom Penh Crown.
Aidil Sharin Sahak-led Home United will commence their campaign in Group H against Myanmar’s Yadanarbon FC on February 22. Vietnam's Than Quang Ninh are their other opponents.
