Amman: Jordanian outfit Al Wehdat will play in the AFC Cup 2012 quarter-final without the services of attacking midfielder Hassan Abdel Fattah who has been loaned for a year to Al Khor of Qatar.
Abdel Fattah, who was instrumental in Jordan's quarter-final run in the 2011 Asian Cup in Qatar, has widely travelled, having had stints on loan for UAE club Hatta, Al Karamah whom he helped win the Syria Cup title in 2010, and Al Kuwait.
The 30-year old also helped Al Wehdat to clinch the Jordan League titles in 2005, 2007 and 2008, the Jordan FA Shield in 2002-2003 and 2004-2005, as well as the Jordan Super Cup in 2005.
Al Wehdat, who defeated Kuwait’s Kazma in the round of 16 tie, will have to face another Kuwaiti side Kuwait SC in the September double-header quarter-final.
They will travel to Kuwait to face last year’s runners-up on September 18 followed by a home tie at the King Abdullah International Stadium a week later on September 25.
