Chonburi: Japan’s Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies sealed their place in the final of the AFC Women's Club Championship™ 2023 after an emphatic 6-1 win over Bangkok FC of Thailand on Thursday.

Although there is still one more round of matches to be played in Group A, the win meant that Urawa Red Ladies are assured of top spot based on their head-to-head record with Bangkok.

Bishkek: An Ayzar Akmatov header saw Kyrgyz Republic's FK Abdysh-Ata Kant edge Tajikistan’s FC Ravshan 1-0 in a hard-fought contest at Dolen Omurzakov Stadium on Thursday to make it three wins and a draw in four matches in Group E of the AFC Cup™ 2023/24. 

After a first half where the visiting Ravshan were the more dangerous of the two sides, Abdysh-Ata took the lead through full-back Akmatov who headed home from a corner in the 49th minute and held on for the win that kept them at the top of the table.

Group F: Macarthur FC (AUS) 5-0 Phnom Penh Crown FC (CAM)

Sydney: Australia’s Macarthur FC avenged their previous loss to Phnom Penh Crown with a comprehensive 5-0 win over the Cambodians on Thursday to join Oleg Starynskyi’s side on nine points at the top of Group F in the AFC Cup™2023-24.

The A-League outfit suffered a surprise 3-0 reversal in Phnom Penh on Matchday Three but had no issues at Campbelltown Stadium in Sydney’s western suburbs as goals from Valere Germain, Raphael Borges Rodrigues and Ulises Davila gave the hosts a clear halftime lead.

Tomislav Uskok added the fourth nine minutes from time with a header while Lachlan Rose scored the fifth in the final minute as the A-League side reignited their hopes of progressing to the next phase of the competition.

Yangon: Khant Min’s spectacular volley earned Shan United the first point of their AFC Cup™ 2023/23 campaign on Thursday as the side from Myanmar came back to secure a 1-1 draw with Dynamic Herb Cebu FC in their Group F clash in Yangon.

The defender’s 81st minute strike cancelled out Roberto Corsame’s opener from the 49th minute, with the result leaving the side from the Philippines five points off lead duo Macarthur United and Phnom Penh Crown in the battle for a place in the knockout rounds.

Singapore: PSM Makassar came from behind to beat Hougang United 3-1 in Group H of the AFC Cup™ 2023/24 at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Thursday.

The win kept the Indonesian side's hopes of qualifying for the knockout stage alive while Hougang's campaign is as good as over.
